STOP-MOTION

Alley Cat

While engaged in a flavorful meal, and enjoying the cool shade from an alley way, a cat is unexpectedly visited by an unexpected visitor...

My idea process for the story of this animation started with research and an acknowledgement of what I want my work to represent. Knowing that the final animation would last only a minute or so, I understood that my story needed to come across as visually clear and comprehend-able in that small amount of time. Stylistically, my ideational approach can be described as optimistic, light-hearted, and engaging. I want viewers to relate to my characters and appreciate the emotions

Application of Animation principles support the story and concept of the film.

PRAXINOSCOPE

Major Eye-roll

Created through the Praxinoscope Animation device, this digitalized piece was originally brought to life through the optical illusion of moving scene’s reflected on mirrored panels. This work consists of very few frames, and the ideational motion component was to produce a loop animation.
